I currently live in Middleton. I have lived in the area all my live. I am a young outgoing person who loves to live life to the full and absorb people’s opinions, views and feedback. I have a young family, 2 little princess’. My spare time is taken up with family activities. I enjoy outdoor activates and keeping the girls busy.

I have a BA Hons degree in Sports Development. My previous work experience has been managerial roles within private Healthcare companies. I am now ready for a new challenge and I am excited to learn something new. The community comes first and my aim is to ensure their voice is heard.

Alexander Leach

Operations Manager

I have recently graduated with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science. I believe the skills that I have learnt whilst undertaking my degree will help me make a vital impact to Healthwatch Rochdale as a Operations Manager .

I am very much looking forward to having the opportunity to listen to the local resident’s voice their opinions on the health and social care service they receive.

Elaine Grace

Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager

I have lived in the Borough for the last 15 years since relocating from Derbyshire.  I have two grown up children.  I have worked for Adult Care Services as well as spending 8 years at CVS Rochdale supporting voluntary and community groups across the Borough.  After a brief spell working for Bolton CAB I have moved back to working in Rochdale, and am looking forward very much to supporting local residents have their say in the development and delivery of local health and social care services.

I enjoy finding out about different people and the huge variety of experiences they have.

I believe that as we have been given the opportunity to have a say in the way our health and social care is developed and delivered, we have a responsibility to engage – if we don’t how can we complain when we are not happy?  Only by engaging in the conversation can we have an influence on the outcome.

Claire Birch

Communications Officer

I currently live in Heywood with my five children and I am studying towards a degree in Psychology and Sociology with the Open University. I enjoy spending time with my children on family days out, going for long walks and trips to the park and cinemas, we are a really close family and have lots of fun.

I have previously done work with Holding Families which is a part of Early Break drugs and alcohol service working with families where a parent has a substance misuse problem. I have also worked with the Children’ Society counselling service.

I am a very caring person and I am passionate about equality and supporting vulnerable people.

I am really looking forward to my new role learning about the quality of health and social care services in the area, having the opportunity to listen to service users feedback and helping them to access services in the area.
