Healthwatch Rochdale Open Day Event

Healthwatch Rochdale are holding an open day showcase event at the newly refurbished Rochdale Town Hall on Tuesday 6th February 2024 from 10:30am until 3:00pm and are inviting all Rochdale borough residents, VCFSE groups and professional partners to join them to network and learn more about the role and function of the organisation.

At the event you can meet the staff team as well as board members and also learn about the role of the organisation and how they have made a difference to local health and care services over the last year and find out more about their Enter and View programme, with an opportunity to read their latest reports.

There will be an opportunity to find out more about Volunteering with Healthwatch and how to sign up for volunteer opportunities. Volunteering is an excellent way to learn new skills and give something back to your community and Healthwatch has a wide range of roles available that can be adapted to people’s needs.

One of Healthwatch Rochdale’s roles is to gather in service users voice around their experiences of local health and social care – you are welcome to share your experience of services, or get any information or advice you need regarding health and social care.

During the event there will be partner organisations offering opportunities for further information and advice around health and social care such as getting a free blood pressure check, health advice, vaccination information, Home care and  Sexual Health. Rochdale Advocacy Together Hub will also be in attendance sharing information on how to make a complaint about an NHS service and your right to assistance from an Independent NHS Complaints Advocate.
