Rochdale Health Alliance latest update in regards to GP appointments in Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and Pennines
Due to the change in national guidance for managing Coronavirus, please note that Practices have been advised to move to a total triage first system.
This means that all requests for face to face appointments will be triaged. This could be via a telephone, online using remote consultation or video consultation. Where a face to face appointment is clinically required then this will be provided following the triage process.
If a patient attend a practice with the covid-19 symptoms, then they will be sent home to self isolate in line with the national guidance.
The whole system is under enormous pressure and your support and patience with your GP practice and their staff, as well as other health services, at this time is much appreciated. They are following national guidelines to ensure we try to reduce the risk of infection and protect vulnerable patients.
