Healthwatch Rochdale publishes findings and recommendations after Enter and View visit at Rochdale Infirmary outpatients.
Healthwatch Rochdale did the first visit of the site back in February 2023. The visit which took place in March 2024 was a review of the original recommendations made by Healthwatch Rochdale. Originally seven recommendations were made to the outpatient’s department in 2023 and upon our revisit it was highlighted that only four of those recommendations had been carried out.
Following the revisit Healthwatch Rochdale made a further eight recommendations for improvement and received a response and action plan from Rochdale Infirmary management within the statutory time frame.
The outpatients department is well on its way to being refreshed; the reception area is looking amazing. Healthwatch Rochdale are keen to see information in varies languages to represent patient flow within the department and the ethnic communities within Rochdale that attend here. The updated action plan will be monitored by Healthwatch Rochdale ensuring Northern Care Alliance complete the actions they have implemented.
