Field House Care Home. Spinners Green, Rochdale Enter and View Report - June 2025

Fieldhouse Care home is a purpose-built home which is registered for up to a maximum of 42 people who require care. At the time of the Enter and View Visit, 40 people were resident in the home. Healthwatch Rochdale visited Fieldhouse Care Home on Monday 16th June 2025 as part of a programme of announced Enter and View visits to care homes in the Rochdale Borough. A pre-visit to meet with friends and family took place on Friday 30th May 2025.

GP Enter and View Report - The Ghafoor Family Practice, Rochdale

Healthwatch Rochdale representatives conducted an Enter and View visit at The Ghafoor Family Practice on 10/07/2025 as part of a planned Quality Visit carried out by the Primary Care Team, GM Integrated Care HMR (Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale locality).
The Ghafoor Family Practice is a GP practice in the Rochdale Borough with a patient list size of approximately 6,500.

Over several months in 2024, Healthwatch Rochdale received a growing number of concerns from d/Deaf residents and those with hearing difficulties about their experiences with local healthcare services. This feedback came through our online feedback portals and highlighted serious barriers to care.

Dr Bhima Surgery, Rochdale - Enter & View Report

The purpose of the visit was to review how patients access GP services, including appointment booking systems, accessibility of information, and the overall patient experience. While no patients were present in the waiting area during the visit, observations and staff engagement highlighted several key areas for improvement and good practice.

Healthwatch in Greater Manchester – Pathway to CAMHS Report – 6 Months On

Six months ago, Healthwatch in Greater Manchester published our report on children and young people’s experiences of accessing mental health support across Greater Manchester. The findings—based on the voices of over 1,200 young people, parents, and professionals—highlighted long waits, inconsistent communication, and the emotional toll of navigating Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

Healthwatch Rochdale visited The Millfield Care Home on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 from 1.00pm to 4.30pm as part of a programme of announced Enter and View visits to care homes in the Rochdale borough.

The Willows Dementia Hub Rochdale Enter and View Report

The Willows Dementia Hub is a specialist centre offering support and care for people living with Dementia in a quiet residential area in Rochdale. There are two discrete services for those living with Dementia. The Willows residential care home, which is a 22-bed residential facility that provides accommodation, personal care and support to people with dementia and a day care service at
called “Comfort Days”.

The Lyndhurst Residential Home is a registered care home for up to 41 service users aged 65+ situated in the Middleton area. The home offers residential care (without nursing) in 39 single rooms and one couple/companion room provided over its two floors.
