Help shape Healthwatch Rochdale’s prioritys in health and social care areas for 2020/21.

Healthwatch Rochdale is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in the Rochdale borough.

Our role is to collect and listen to local people’s experiences and views of health and care services and use this feedback to help improve services.

In order to be relevant and effective, Healthwatch Rochdale create an annual work programme which includes priority areas of work. These priority areas are chosen based on the feedback we have received over the previous twelve months with members of the public given the opportunity to express their opinion on where Healthwatch Rochdale should focus its resources.

The proposed priority areas for 2020/21 are:

  • Primary Care- GP Services
  • Safeguarding
  • Primary Care – Pharmacy Services
  • Primary Care – Dentistry
  • Rochdale Infirmary
  • Access to Children’s Services
  • Adult Mental Health Services
  • Home Care

As part of our work programme for 2020/21 Healthwatch Rochdale plan to continue the planned programme of Enter and View visits to nursing and residential homes. However we want to ensure the public feel this is an area they want their local Healthwatch to focus on and so there is an opportunity to share your opinions on our Enter and View programme in the survey.

If you are passionate about improving local health and social care services, then please complete the below survey and let us know where you think our priorities should be.

You can also share your opinions and comments on any additional areas you think we should be focusing on.

The closing date for responses is Friday 24th January.
